ABOUT ME

Vernee Samuel

Headshot - Vernee-1.jpg

I have a comprehensive understanding of the education landscape, having been a teacher, parent, governor, student and researcher. As a former BBC radio producer, I like to centre narrative storytelling in my work.

My research is inspired by listening to the first hand experiences of students, parents and education practitioners in order to better understand how inequality manifests itself in the classroom.

My race and diversity training focuses on the importance of personal relationships, using evidence informed strategies that have been shown to improve outcomes, particularly for marginalised groups. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
